Today we were so lucky to have Mrs Faalili teach us how to cook cocoa rice. She taught us all of the steps involved in making this traditional samoan rice dish and also taught us the words in Samoan and the story of how the coconut came to Samoa.

 Maia was fantastic at preparing the dough. Today Room 5 made samosas. Some of us tried them for the first time and all of us tried making them for the very first time! It was a real fun-filled day. Enjoy looking at our awesome samosa pics! |

This week we completed our inquiry projects about the Anzacs by commemorating the fallen and the ones that sacrificed their lives in the war through art. We created silhouettes with clear file pockets, felt pens and black vivid.
We also created poppy chains using a red coloured card by drawing poppies on it and cutting it with great precision keeping in mind the distance between each poppy. We created a chain of Anzac buntings as well on which we wrote the phrases- 'Lest we forget' and 'We will remember them'.
It was great fun.

Miss Amy is our lovely social worker at our school and she knows how to sign. She came to our class to teach us how to sign many basic sentences and phrases.
