Commemorating Anzac Day

Today we commemorated Anzac day by putting tents up in our class. As it was a windy day and a little rainy we decided to still go ahead with our plan and did it inside the class. We put tents up and worked in our tents today and did some things a soldier might do when they were not fighting a war like writing letters to their family or reading or drawing or just catching up on some much needed rest and a good old chat with mates.

Biking Fun!

We have really enjoyed biking this Term and some of us have developed a lot of confidence in riding a bike.

Thank you to our awesome caretaker Mr Pete who organises biking tools for us- helmets and bikes.

Cultural Day in Room 5

On Friday 8th April we celebrated all the cultures that we have in our class. We came dressed in our cultural gear or something that represents our culture. We brought some food to share from our home countries and we made samosas and Egyptian donuts in our wharekai (kitchen) in our school.

It was an absolutely a wonderful day. We all did presentations about our countries and culture. It was so interesting to hear from everyone. It felt like we created our very own cultural studies class like in high schools or university.

Here are some photos from the day-
